7 anos de Sutilezas…

SUTILEZAS DO OLHAR | 7

Sete anos do blog, este lugar silencioso por onde as pessoas passam e deixam suas marcas, ainda que não se manifestem. Sim, sinto-as por cá e o anonimato é, de certa forma, fascinante.
O blog evoca um tempo sem tempo, a ideia de pausa ou de suspensão, como uma paisagem, onde nos demoramos antes de voltar à estrada.

Obrigada a todas e todos que olham por esta janela, que muitas vezes se vêem refletidos nela, que se permitem pausar e tentar apreender aquilo que nem sempre sei dizer.

Seven years of the blog, this silent place where people pass by and leave their marks, even if they don’t express themselves. Yes, I can feel them here, and the anonymity is, in a way, fascinating. The blog evokes a timeless time, the idea of a pause or suspension, like a landscape where we linger before returning to the road.

Thank you to everyone who looks through this window, who often sees themselves reflected in it, who allows themselves to pause and try to grasp what I don’t always know how to express.

Ficções do eu

Comecei o exercício do autorretrato, em 2005, movida pelo interesse em pesquisar sobre aspectos identitários menos óbvios do que a face, considerada elemento identitário por excelência, que nos particulariza e diferencia do outro.
Haveria no gesto, para além do encenado para a fotografia, algo que revelaria aspectos mais profundos do eu e que se traduziriam como marca identitária?

Fotografo-me desde então com essa pergunta em mente, não para reproduzir essa identidade, e sim como um exercício de criação de ‘ficções do eu’ que acontecem a partir dela e vão além.
Fotografo-me como possibilidade de explorar a multiplicidade na inteireza; a fragmentação na coesão.

Fotos onde incluo o rosto são raras. Creio que esta sequência é a primeira que faço desse tipo. Nesse dia, apeteceu-me. Apenas porque sim.

I began the self-portrait exercise in 2005, driven by the interest in exploring less obvious aspects of identity than the face, considered an identity element par excellence, which particularizes and differentiates us from others.
Would there be something in the gesture, beyond what is staged for the photograph, that would reveal deeper aspects of the self and that would be translated as an identity mark?

Since then, I’ve been photographing myself with this question in mind not to reproduce this identity, but rather as an exercise in creating ‘fictions of the self’ that emerge from it and go beyond it.
I photograph myself as a way to explore multiplicity within wholeness and fragmentation within cohesion.

Photos Including my face are rare. I believe this is the first sequence I’ve done of this kind. On that day, I felt like it. Just because.
